If you grew up in this area, then you've probably gone on field trips to Gettysburg. And if you've gone on field trips to Gettysburg, then you've probably seen the cyclorama there. If you haven't been there, the cyclorama is a very large circular painting that takes up an entire large room. You stand in the middle of it and look out on a painted scene of Pickett's Charge. Anyway, it's gotten a little old and tattered over the years and is now in the process of being restored. Check out this NYTimes story about that project.
